It is important that you share these values to be part of our team.Position SummaryAbacus Solutions Group is seeking a Tier 2 Field Service Engineer Journeyman to provide on-site IT support in a federal environment. This role supports end users with hands-on troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, and network connectivity. This is a customer-facing position requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an office setting.ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devicesInstall, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers and related softwareSupport basic network connectivity and hardware issuesConnect devices to existing data networksMaintain trouble logs and documentation in ticketing systemsProvide in-person and remote support to end usersPerform minor hardware and software repairsAssist users with proper use of hardware and softwareDocument daily support activities and resolutionsCollaborate with staff and management regarding system needs and improvementsRequirements1 to 2 years of hands-on IT support experience in a desktop or field service environmentStrong troubleshooting skills in Windows environmentsExperience supporting hardware, software, and peripheral equipmentAbility to communicate clearly with non-technical usersAbility to work independently in an on-site settingHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or higher preferredRelevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plusSecurity RequirementsMust be a US CitizenMust be able to pass a Federal Background Investigation, obtaining and maintaining Public Trust suitability.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, color, family or medical care leave, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, national origin, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations and ordinances.
