Job Description

Position Summary/Department Summary: Boston Children’s Hospital Neighborhood Partnerships (BCHNP) is a school-based behavioral health program in the Department of Psychiatry u0026Behavioral Sciences at Boston Children Hospital. BCHNP’s work is grounded in prevention that is adaptable, culturally responsive, andevidence informed. We partner with schools and districts to collaboratively create and sustain comprehensive behavioral health systems that promote the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being of all students, families, staff, and school communities. This position islocatedwithin the Training and Access Project (TAP), an initiative within BCHNP, partners with Boston Public Schools and school communities in Massachusetts and nation-wide to focus on building capacity to address social-emotional learning and behavioral health through professional development and consultation. Please note that this position does not provide direct clinical services to students, rather provides professional development and consultation to a variety of school communities. Key Responsibilities: Designing,facilitating, and evaluating professional development for school professionals with school districts in Boston and beyond Working collaboratively and actively engaging as a member of the TAP team Developing and co-facilitating live online and in person workshops in a variety of formats as well as asynchronous videos focused on social emotional and behavioral health related topics designed to meet the needs of school-based behavioral health providers, educators, and school professionals Receiving support and coaching in designing andfacilitatingworkshops for school-based audiences Development of supporting resources and materials to supplement training In addition, there may be opportunities to consult with schools and districts regarding professional learning as well as providing workshops for community-based organizations Minimum Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in social work Experience: Several years of previous social work experience in the field of school- based behavior health is essential, 5+ years social work experience in the field of school- based behavior health is preferred. Working in diverse, urban school settings is highly valued. Demonstrated experience designing andfacilitatingprofessional development, teaching, presenting, and/or co-facilitating trainings for K-12 audiences with a strong commitment to collaboratively developing materials and trainings through a social justice and equity lens. Experience and/or interest in a macro role in developing training across formats including in-person and online/virtual. Strong writing, facilitation, and communication skills. The ability to work both independently and within a teamenvironment andcommunicate effectively with others tosolve problemsand achieve goals related tonumerousprojects.
