Job Description

The Department of Community Health Services and Rehabilitation Science in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh is accepting applications for a 9-month, appointment stream Assistant Professor. The successful Candidate will assume responsibility for teaching Rehabilitation Science related course content, mentoring students in the undergraduate Rehabilitation Science program, and participating in department, school and university governance and service, along with other roles as determined by the department chair.QualificationsRequired:. Earned Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.. At least five years' experience in the field of physical therapy or related field.. Evidence of at least four years teaching experience in a college or university setting.. Evidence of mentoring undergraduate students.. Demonstrated evidence of University service.Preferred:. Experience developing and teaching college-level courses.. Experience in kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and/or athletic training.The start date for this position will be August 15, 2026.
