Description: You will be the Electro-Optical Engineer for the Electro Optical Infrared (EOIR) Team which is responsible for... What You Will Be Doing As the Electro-Optical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the integration of EOIR solutions within advanced aircraft programs. Your responsibilities will include: + Define, review, and document engineering requirements for EOIR systems. + Coordinate with principal engineers, stakeholders, and customers to align specifications. + Plan, develop, integrate, and validate optical, infrared, and laser systems on fighter aircraft. + Prepare and deliver technical briefings to customers and senior leadership. + Support travel to national and international program sites for testing and meetings. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. u2022 Familiarity with Avionics, EW/CM, Radar, CNI, EO/IR Sensors or Fusion Systems u2022 Electro-Optical Systems Engineering Development and Integration Skills. u2022 Communication and presentation skills. u2022 Organizational skills - ability to oversee multiple tasks, identify and resolve conflicts, and keep projects on schedule. Desired Skills: u2022 Laboratory, Field and Flight Test of Electro Optic, Infrared and/or Laser Systems experience on defense contracts. u2022 Familiarity with engineering oversight of supplier(s). u2022 Fundamental understanding of Electro Optic, Infrared and/or Laser Systems with experience testing/troubleshooting sensors, sensor systems or avionics using various types of test equipment. u2022 Professional and interpersonal communication skills required to interface with individuals from various disciplines while performing complex serial and parallel tasks required to successfully deliver support equipment products to our customer u2022 Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and challenging electronic systems u2022 Problem solving and project planning experience u2022 Experience with Military or Government Programs u2022 Experience interfacing with customers and subcontractors. u2022 Proposal technical leadership experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
