Business casual dress, flex time, and tuition reimbursement are a few of our many work-life benefits available to our employees.The position will support a Department of War policy office with the implementation of policies, strategies, and initiatives related to defense pricing and contracting, including legislative analysis and management of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) process.Responsibilities may include:Preparing, maintaining, and tracking current NDAA impact papers for statutory provisions of interest;Assisting with management of the NDAA Appeals lifecycle, including drafting statutory language, responding to feedback, coordination, and submission;Drafting and coordinating legislative proposals to implement Department priorites;Developing and delivering executive-level briefings as required to provide the results of analysis performed; andMaintaining a current and accurate internal documentation library.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree or higher5 years or more of government and/or consulting experience, preferably defense-relatedExperience with the Government's legislative processStrong communication skillsUnderstanding of defense contracting and acquisitionsSelf-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, and able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting prioritiesThis position requires an active security clearance at the Secret level.
