Intern - Technical Operations Center

UnityPoint Health is hiring aTechnical Operations Intern to join our Technical Operations Center department! This role will assist in day-to-day TOC and Telehealth monitoring and support. The TOC Intern will manage incidents and will work with TeleHealth Analysts, build carts and create parts using 3D printers. Reporting to our Technical Operations Center Manager, the TOC Intern will work on preventive maintenances and incident response that adhere to best practices and recognized control frameworks.Hours:20 hours/week between the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pmLocation: Hybrid scheduled - Grimes, IAAt UnityPoint Health, you matter. In collaboration with IT, maintains a stable telehealth environment that is secure and reliable. Concisely communicates concepts to team members and clients with varying levels of computer understanding. Uses operational expertise to seek out, research, evaluate, and propose solutions to clients.Team:Balance team and individual responsibilities and put the success of the team above own interests. Adheres to Change Management Policies and Procedures Supports Leadership, prioritization of work requests. Formulate and maintain documentation for department processes.Education:Currently pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field License(s)/Certification(s):Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and landscapeA dedicated and self-driven desire to research and learn more about the information security landscapeStrong communication, planning, and organizational skillsUnderstands computer system functionality, limitations, and architecture of supported applications and platforms
