Analyze processes and product data provided by Process Technicians, Production Superintendents, and others. Identify and support the direction for process improvements while maintaining parameters that are currently in place.Perform technical analyses of manufacturing and process data related to curing, sizing, facing, and packaging Identify process bottlenecks through time studies and other methodsApply analysis results to improve processes and meet customer expectationsIdentify recommendations to enhance manufacturing capabilities through new ideas and/or methodsParticipate in projects and/or assist project sub-teams involved in process and product optimization, innovation, cost reduction, or other related business activitiesUnder the supervision of the Manager, Process Engineering, execute projects to fulfill department goals and objectives in the areas of cost reduction, productivity gains, process flow, capacity increases, scrap reduction and process and product enhancementsMaintain process set points and control for the curing, sizing, facing, and packagingParticipate in activities with other Process Engineers and Corporate functionsReview all new product requests and approve them based on plant capabilities Maintain all data pertinent to the process including KIMS requirements and upkeep of recordsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Ceramic Engineering or related fieldExperience:Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Office softwareKnowledge of SAP and Minitab helpfulKnowledge of chemistry, as related to glass, binder and washwaterKnowledge of machinery and its design/use Problem solving skillsCritical Thinking skillsCommunication skillsAbility to complete and read drawingsAbility to direct maintenance-needed repairsAbility to write work instructions and proceduresAbility to drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforceAbility to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organizationAbility to Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive mannerIt is the policy of Knauf Insulation to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status or any other protected characteristic prohibited by applicable law.
