About the Role: As a key partner to the legal and transactions teams, you will be responsible for navigating the complexities of high-value real estate and corporate transactions from inception through post-closing. Youu2019ll ensure successful outcomes across our national acquisition and disposition portfolio by overseeing document preparation, closing processes, due diligence, and all related legal matters. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Draft, review, and revise transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing statements u00b7 Prepare and organize closing binders, ensuring all documents are properly executed and filed u00b7 Manage due diligence: title/survey review, zoning/environmental reports, document checklists, compliance u00b7 Act as liaison between internal teams, external counsel, clients, and third-party vendors u00b7 Organize and manage the closing process, including schedules, document prep, and fund transfers u00b7 Oversee post-closing matters: recordings, obligations tracking, transaction files u00b7 Resolve any post-closing issues and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements u00b7 Maintain organized transaction records and regular communications with stakeholders Requirements Qualifications: u00b7 JD plus 2u20133 years commercial real estate legal experience, ideally in a law firm setting u00b7 Strong tech proficiency for transaction management and complex documentation u00b7 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment u00b7 Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills u00b7 Demonstrated legal skills, integrity, and ability to maintain composure under pressure u00b7 Self-starter capable of delivering high performance independently u00b7 Excellent interpersonal skills across all organizational levels Compensation: $100,000u2013$150,000 salary, annual discretionary bonus Benefits Include: medical, dental, vision insurance, paid life, short- & long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k plan with match, generous PTO and holiday This is opportunity based out of downtown Chicago, with work-from-home 1 day per week.
