Description Interviews will begin Monday, April 20th We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager / Controller to join a thriving manufacturing company near Columbia, Tennessee. This role offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to take on a leadership position in managing the companyu2019s financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel in overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This is an ON-SITE opportunity GREAT benefits package Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee general ledger transactions, monthly financial statements, and job costing processes. u2022 Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate subsidiary schedules for financial accounts. u2022 Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance reporting. u2022 Manage monthly and quarterly accounting closes and publish timely financial statements. u2022 Assist with customer billings, collections, and weekly accounts payable processing. u2022 Ensure compliance by maintaining state registrations and business tax licenses. u2022 Contribute to inventory management by participating in annual and interim cycle counts. u2022 Process weekly payroll and handle payroll tax functions and reporting. u2022 Lead the annual financial audit and collaborate with external auditors on R& D tax credit calculations. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and internal controls, implementing solutions as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting is required. u2022 A minimum of one year of experience in public accounting or a comparable role. u2022 Proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity with job costing software such as JobBoss is preferred. u2022 Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products. u2022 Experience with financial reporting, including year-end close and accounts payable. u2022 Knowledge of cost of goods sold (COGS) and month-end close processes. u2022 Ability to navigate accounting systems and implement process improvements effectively.
