About the role As a Senior Automation Test Engineer you will make an impact by driving automation-first quality engineering practices and applying Generative AI to modernize testing strategies. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with software engineers, product teams, and DevOps stakeholders to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions. In this role, you will u00b7 Lead quality engineering efforts across multiple projects, with a strong focus on automation and continuous testing. u00b7 Design, implement, and optimize automated test solutions for web, mobile, and backend services. u00b7 Apply Generative AI techniques to improve test coverage, defect detection, and overall testing efficiency. u00b7 Use advanced prompt engineering to automate workflows, generate test scenarios, and enhance productivity. u00b7 Troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze results, and continuously improve test reliability and scalability. What you need to have to be considered u00b7 5u20137 years of professional experience in software quality engineering, with experience driving automation initiatives. u00b7 Strong proficiency in Python to support a highly technical SDET and automation environment. u00b7 Hands-on experience automating functional and integration testing for web applications, mobile applications, and backend services. u00b7 Solid understanding of QA automation frameworks, testing methodologies, processes, and tools. u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until April 30 th , 2026 The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to 92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
