FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: 1 Shift Details:Working primarily Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, with occasional weekendshifts. Job Summary: The Outpatient Pharmacy Coordinator is thepharmacist-in-charge and managing pharmacist per the Wisconsin PharmacyExamining Board who oversees daily operations and successful performancein the assigned location. The pharmacist performs a combination ofclinical and distributive pharmacy services necessary for the provisionof pharmaceutical care to each patient. To accomplish this objective,the pharmacist-in-charge shall provide supervision and guidance topharmacy team members in the assigned location. The pharmacist willparticipate in handling on-call responsibilities, including themanagement of sick calls. The pharmacist shall collaborate with othermembers of the health care team to proactively identify and addressopportunities to optimize drug therapy. In conjunction with theFroedtert mission focusing on customer safety, service, confidentiality,education, and world class excellence; the pharmacist assures thatpatient care is maintained through compliance with t he department'squality improvement initiatives and other medication managementregulatory standards established by The Joint Commission, Center forMedicare/Medicaid Services, URAC, and others. The pharmacist maintainsaccountability for other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Aminimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience is required. A minimumof three years of other pharmacy experience is preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE certifiedschool of pharmacy or a Pharm. D. is required. Successful completion ofASHP Community Pharmacy Practice or Specialty Residency is preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Demonstrates effective use of computers andapplications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook) as appropriate to practiceand communicate effectively. Exemplifies strong organizational, timemanagement, leadership, conflict management, and change managementskills. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License isrequired or eligible for and must obtain within 3 months. Activemembership in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) preferred. Activemembership in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP),American Pharmacist Association (APhA) and/or other relevant nationalpharmacy organizations is preferred.
