Title: Senior Development Operations Analyst Schedule Format - Location: Hybrid - San Francisco Pay Information: $86,427 - $108,034 The Senior Development Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Major Gifts, Grants and Foundations, and Planned Giving teams at KQED by managing and optimizing the organizationu2019s donor database for Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Grants and Foundations donors, and supporting KQEDu2019s philanthropy campaigns. The Senior Development Operations Analyst reports to the Director of Development Operations. This position ensures accurate data collectionu00a0andu00a0entry, analyzes data, and provides insights to inform fundraising strategies. The Senior Development Operations Analyst will generate reports and dashboards, maintain data integrity, and is essential for optimizing data-driven fundraising strategies. This role is a hybrid work position, with three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at KQEDu2019s San Francisco office and two days work-from-home (with occasional exceptions). As part of our year-end fundraising efforts, this position should be available to work in the office during the last two weeks of December, except for major holidays. This role will work hybrid between working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters ( and working remotely.u00a0 KQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity, equity, and belonging. Data Management & Maintenance: + Manage and maintain the Development donor database, ensuring theu00a0accuracy and completeness of donor records, membership status, and renewal dates, gift payments and pledge tracking in each record.u00a0 + Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity, including cleansing, de-duplication, and updating contact information. + Process complex transactions for grants, foundations, stocks and estate gifts, as well as pledge commitment entry, payment tracking, and invoicing + Collaborate with theu00a0Director of Operations to close gift transaction batches and process deposits as needed.u00a0 + Track and reconcile Challenge gifts in collaboration with Major gifts and Membership teams. Monthly Renewals: + Responsible for the production of monthly fundraising renewal letters in partnership with Major Gift Officers. Assisting with mailings (i.e. merges and prints letters, stuffs and addresses envelopes, generates labels, etc.) + Assist with the preparation of spreadsheets and workbooks for projects requiring mail merge; Help create and distribute tax letters and other important donor information.u00a0 Data Analysis & Reporting: + Support the Director of Operations in updating the monthly dashboards and extracting data from the CRM donor database system for tracking revenue, goals, and metrics. + Support Campaign data tracking and dashboard creationu00a0 + Analyze Major Donor data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for fundraising growth and improved donor engagement. + Generate regular and ad hoc reports for development and fundraising teams, including metrics on donor retention, acquisition, giving trends, and ongoing monthly and quarterly performance reports. + Segment donor lists for targeted digital communications, appeals, and stewardship efforts. + Showcase SQL proficiency to perform data extractions, identify audience segments, and audit donor data integrity within the database + Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Google Looker Studio or similar platform) to translate raw technical data into actionable visual insights for non-technical stakeholders to support executive decision-making Fundraising Support: + Provide data-driven insights to inform fundraising strategies, planning, and donor cultivation. + Collaborate with development officers to analyze the performance of portfolios and fundraising initiatives. Systems Optimization: + Support acquisition, implementation, and modification of new analytics tools.u00a0 + Work with the Director of Operations and the Membership team to optimize Major Donor database systemsu00a0for performance, scalability, and reporting needs. + Troubleshoot database issues and collaborate on system upgrades, integrations, and process improvements. + Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to database management and fundraising analytics. Collaboration & Training: + Collaborate with the fundraising team to understand their data needs and provide appropriate tools and resources. + Collaborate with Major Gift officers, Planned Giving team, Grants, and Foundations team to ensure they adequately use the database and are comfortable with donor data entry and reporting functions. + Work closely with the Finance team to reconcile donations and ensure financial data accuracy. + Track grant deliverables in collaboration with the Foundations and Grants team.u00a0 + Create presentations for leadership and KQED Board, including PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, and data visualizations. Compliance & Security: + Ensure all Major donor data complies with data protection regulations and organizational policies. + Implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive donor information. + Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and reports. Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in business administration, data analytics, computer science, information systems, or any related field. + 4 to 5 years of experience working with donor databases in a nonprofit setting (experience with ROI database, Raiseru2019s Edge, Salesforce, or other CRM tools is preferred). + Strong analytical skills with experience in data management, reporting, and trend analysis. + Skilled in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools, pivot tables, and VLookups.u00a0 + Understanding of fundraising and donor stewardship processes. + Knowledge and understanding of SQL or other programming languages.u00a0 + Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. + Experience with data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and nonprofit compliance requirements.
