Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in financial reporting and accounting processes, including month-end close and reconciliation tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and oversee month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded. u2022 Create and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow reporting. u2022 Manage and track fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset additions. u2022 Utilize Workday to support accounting operations and streamline processes. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve processes. u2022 Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting, including month-end close and reconciliation tasks. u2022 Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entry processes. u2022 Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations. u2022 Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and related practices. u2022 Hands-on experience with Workday or similar financial systems. u2022 Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
