Whether you're aseasoned RN or a recent grad eager to learn, you'll be part of asupportive, ortho-trauma team at the heart of a Level I Trauma Center.Many patients arrive straight from surgery, giving you hands-on post-opexperience and close collaboration with our Orthopedic Surgery Team. Weoffer the training, mentorship, and teamwork you need to succeed. TheRegistered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing,planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identifiedgroup of patients in an inpatient environment. This individualdemonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adultpopulation. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description has incorporatedessential functions which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope andStandards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of targetpatient populations specific to area of employment. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at alevel normally acquired through completion of education at an accreditedSchool of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a RegisteredNurse is required. Upon hire any non-BSN nurse with less than one yearof licensed registered nurse experience will be required to enroll in aBSN (or higher nursing degree) program. Acceptance into a program isexpected within 15 months of hire and the degree program must becompleted within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN,DNP or PhD in Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state of Wisconsin RegisteredNurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participatingstate in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association(AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHAapproved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
