Job Title: QC AnalystJob Description We are seeking a dedicated QC Analyst for a 2nd shift position, with initial training conducted on the first shift. This role involves performing standardized and custom tests to evaluate mechanical and physical properties such as tensile strength, elongation, hardness, and thermal resistance. Responsibilities + Perform material testing to evaluate mechanical and physical properties. + Prepare specimens for testing using cutting, molding, or conditioning techniques. + Record test results accurately, analyze data trends, and identify anomalies or inconsistencies. + Operate and maintain lab instruments including universal testing machines, ovens, viscometers, and microscopes. + Maintain detailed lab notebooks and enter results into digital systems for traceability and reporting. + Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to support product development and troubleshooting. + Follow all safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Essential Skills + Quality control experience. + Mechanical aptitude. + Strong understanding of material properties and testing methodologies. + Proficient in data entry and basic computer applications such as Excel and LIMS. + Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in materials science, chemistry, or related field preferred. + Prior lab experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting highly preferred. Work Environment This is a 2nd shift position from 3pm to 11:30pm, with training on the first shift. The work environment involves using technologies such as universal testing machines, ovens, viscometers, and microscopes. The role requires adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
