Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor communications. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong background in accounts payable, and a commitment to maintaining organized financial records. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and organize all accounts payable records, ensuring proper documentation and filing. u2022 Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, and necessary approvals. u2022 Process payments in a timely and accurate manner, including checks and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers. u2022 Prepare and distribute checks while managing weekly book transfers as required. u2022 Maintain accurate vendor records, track reimbursable expenses, and update AP reports and spreadsheets. u2022 Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and ensure compliance with documentation standards and tax-exempt requirements. u2022 Assist with special projects as directed by senior leadership. u2022 Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline data entry and payment processes. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience. u2022 Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office applications. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software; experience with automated systems is preferred. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable practices, including account coding and invoice processing. u2022 Ability to manage check runs and ACH payments effectively. u2022 Background in the parking or property management industry is a plus. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills.
