Come and see all that Brown Countyhas to offer Our CCS unit is looking for a highly organized, adaptableand team-oriented individual to join our team now This positionassesses the clinical needs of youth enrolled in the ComprehensiveCommunity Services program and delivers age-appropriate evidence-basedtreatment to individuals, groups, and families, through the provision ofcounseling, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. May provide educationand consultation regarding clinical issues to non-clinical staff.Specific focus will be on clinical assessment, psychoeducation,psychotherapy and direct intervention with youth and their familiesusing family systems approaches and other evidenced-based practices,both in homes and community settings. A hybrid telework schedule may beallowed after successful completion of the training period. EssentialDuties Serves as the primary Psychotherapist and/or Mental HealthProfessional for youth enrolled in the Comprehensive Community Servicesprogram. Obtains and communicates accurate and timely reports ofconsumer/patient status, progress, and needs to the rest of the CCStreatment team. Demonstrates familiarity with patient and other rights,assures their application in treatment provided Conducts psychosocialhistories and clinical assessments of need. Contributes to thedevelopment and delivery of outcome-oriented treatment plans goals,interventions, and objectives. Participates on interdisciplinarytreatment teams and provides individual and group psychotherapy toyouth, as well as family 1:1 parent psychoeducation as needed. Complieswith applicable county, state and federal guidelines related to theprovision of treatment and maintains accurate and timely documentationaccording to applicable requirements, codes, policies, and standards.Assists in the planning of additional or revised treatment approachesand services as necessary. Assumes responsibility for and participatesin activities which assure evidence-based practice and furtherprofessional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding andpractice of dual diagnosis/co-occurring approaches for youth andfamilies and works with team members to address these issues. Attendsand positively contributes to staff meetings and department performanceoverall. Attends in-service and outside agency training sessions asappropriate. Maintains the confidential nature of client and businessinformation. Complies with Health and Human Services policies.NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Performs related functions as assigned. MATERIALSAND EQUIPMENT USED: General office equipment Computer PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying ofobjects weight up to 10 pounds. Intermittent standing, walking, andsitting; occasional driving. Using hand(s)/feet for repetitive singlegrasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, and operatingcontrols. Occasional bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, reaching,and grappling. Communicating orally in a clear manner. Distinguishingsounds at various frequencies and volumes. Distinguishing people orobjects at varied distances under a variety of light conditions. Must befree from communicable disease. The position description should not beinterpreted as all-inclusive. There may be an occasional requestfor flexibility in work hours Mon-Thurs between 7am-7pm to accommodateteam meetings or the apy sessions. Ability to be flexible in the hoursof work with core business hours being, Mon-Thurs: 7:30am-5:00pm andFri: 7:30am-11:30am. Knowledge of alcohol and otherdrug abuse dynamics, programs, and treatment methodology. Knowledge ofapplicable laws (DHS 36 and Chapter 48 and 51). Knowledge of communityhuman services resources. Ability to assess clinical needs of youth andfamilies in the areas of mental health and addiction disorders anddetermine treatment needs. Ability to form positive relationships andengage consumers and their families in treatment approaches. Ability toestablish and maintain effective working relationships with other staffand the public. Ability to be decisive and to make sound decisions underthe pressure of crisis or emergency situations. Ability to workindependently. Ability to maintain emotional stability in stressfulworking situations. Ability to accept and constructively useprofessional feedback. Ability to communicate effectively both orallyand in writing. Ability to maintain records and reports timely andaccurately. Ability to use independent judgment in decision making.Ability to work the required hours of the position, which is 37.5 hoursweekly, with up to two evenings per week based upon the needs of the CCSconsumers/families.
