TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: July 6th - August 6th, Monday - Thursday; Hours: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM;PRIMARY FUNCTION: To plan and deliver effective intervention instruction to assigned students.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Learn methods of and successfully implement a variety of intervention programs.Plan and deliver small group intervention instruction to assigned students.Create and maintain accurate data on student progress.Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed, based on student data.Match appropriate instructional materials and strategies based on student need as determined through data analysis.Perform other instructional duties as assigned by the principal or designee.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degreeDirect experience working with childrenAvailable entire duration of Summer SchoolPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual, English and SpanishFlexibility and patience in helping students build their academic success.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.SALARY: $32.00 per hourNew London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
