Controls Engineers

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to design, program, and install custom automation systems. In this role, you’ll handle PLC/HMI programming, machine debugging, and integration of robotics, vision, and motion control systems. You’ll also provide technical support to customers, mentor junior engineers, and lead projects with minimal supervision.This position is ideal for an experienced automation professional who thrives on solving complex problems and enjoys both hands-on work and leadership responsibilities.What You’ll DoDevelop PLC and HMI programs to meet project specificationsProgram peripheral devices including robotics, vision, and motion control systemsPerform machine debug, validation, and installation/startup at customer sitesAssist in hardware design and requirements developmentMentor and guide junior engineers (Controls Engineer I & II)Provide occasional technical support/service calls to customersTravel 25-35% (primarily domestic, with some international assignments)Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe, organized work environmentWhat We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in automation (PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsKnowledge of mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controllers)Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and quality standardsHigh School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred
