Job Summary and QualificationsJoin our team as a Preoperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. What you will do in this role: Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedureConduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic testsReview your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgeryAdminister pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribedMonitor your patients until transferred to the OR Qualifications you will need: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursingMinimum 2 years of experience in a PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery centerActive RN license as required by state of employmentRequired valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptableACLS required Benefits Jacksonville Surgery Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
