Collectively, Hanger employees touch thousands of lives each day, helping people achieve new levels of mobility and freedom.In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication between hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, patients, and clinical staff—most of which takes place via email, fax, text, and phone. This is an entry-level position but strong organization and multitasking abilities are needed. Great for anyone with knowledge of healthcare but need a foot in the door.Responsibilities:Manage correspondence with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and patient care teams via email, fax, text, and phone.Serve as a communication hub for patients, nurses, and providers across 10+ clinics and 25 facilities (and growing).Follow up on outstanding items, documentation, and orders to ensure timely completion.Navigate complex insurance processes and requirementsMaintain detailed, organized recordsSecondary responsibilities:Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times and addressing inquiries at the front desk or reception areaVerify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-in registrationsCollect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front deskEnsure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients.High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred. Hanger will administer the Talent Sorter as part of the selection processLess than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
