Our client is seeking a Plant Quality Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives using appropriate quality tools and provides data analysis. As a Plant Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer-specified requirements. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Plant Quality Engineer Location: Columbus, IN Pay Rate: Pay will be up to $43.00/hour (dependent on experience) Key Responsibilities + Conduct multiple projects simultaneously, from feasibility through post-launch quality assessment and throughout production life; reduce PPM, scrap, and overall Cost of Quality KPIs. + Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Engineering and monitor status throughout production life. + Assure compliance with documented quality systems (ISO/TS16949 or IATF16949) and promote organizational consistency. + Conduct investigations to determine causes of defects and recommend corrective actions. Requirements + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum). + Minimum of two (2) years of automotive experience. + Exposure to customer interactions. + Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
