$17-$18/hr Job Title: Electronic Assembler Job Description As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and systems using hand tools, light assembly equipment, and lead-free solder stations. You are expected to follow production work instructions and shop orders to complete product assembly with the highest quality and efficiency. Responsibilities + Set up and operate appropriate equipment, tools, and fixtures for product assembly. + Solder wires and components to printed circuit boards. + Assemble and solder wiring harnesses. + Hand assemble plastic and metal heat sinks and case parts. + Conduct functional testing of work in progress and completed units. + Package finished goods in boxes and clamshells. + Collaborate with the production supervisor to ensure product quality by identifying and resolving assembly issues and highlighting continuous improvement opportunities. + Maintain a safe, clean working environment. + Read and apply documented quality system procedures. Essential Skills + Experience in electronic assembly and small part assembly. + Proficiency in soldering, including soldering wires and components to circuit boards. + Knowledge of surface-mount technology and operation of SMT machines. + Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools. + Strong hand dexterity. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge. + Experience in assembly, wiring, and soldering is strongly preferred. + Ability to work independently while following work orders. Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility where all positions are primarily seated. The team size ranges from 15-20 people. The shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
