Versar requires highly skilled, full-time, professional Electronic Security System Installation (ESS) Technicians for the accomplishment of complex electronic security system preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.This position requires technical support for and installation of electronic security systems thereby protecting sensitive work-related activities, information, documentation, equipment, visitors, and Agency personnel in controlled areas such as federal courthouses and office spaces (probation offices, public defender spaces, etc.)WhatYou’ll Do:The ideal candidate will provide Installation, preventative maintenance and corrective action support of security field and headend equipment for new and existing Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Closed-Circuit Video (CCV) systems in addition to the integration of these systems to monitor the physical plant, people, and contents efficiently and effectively.Candidate must have technical experience and familiarity with specific ESS platforms to support the following systems to include but not limited to: Hirsch/Identiv, C*CURE , Lenel, Bosch Video Management System.This position is based in Washington, DC and requires daily commute to the site. A company vehicle may be issued for this commute.ResponsibilitiesPerform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices, among othersPerform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controlsPerform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, AxisTerminates and dismantles devices and reconstructs equipment as requiredErects safety signage in appropriate areasUse ladders to safely access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pulling wires, hooking up routes, etc.Cleans up installation debris and maintains an orderly workspaceAnalyzes blueprints and building plans to confirm proper placement of wiring, conduit, and intended overall connection plan on a room-by-room and floor-by-floor basisPerforms system testing and signal verificationAssist with teammate troubleshooting needs virtually or by phone, as neededAssess tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and order, as neededMeet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum directionMaintain a high level of professionalism, in appearance and communication with the public and federal/local community membersMaintain, enter, and process expenses in Company system by established deadlinesDrives company vehiclesPerform other duties as requiredWhatYou’ll Bring:18+ years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalent3+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installationExperience with access control systems and intrusion detection systemsWorking knowledge of ESS platform experience in Software House C*CURE , Bosch Video Management System, and Bosch Intrusion System.Certification in CCURE Ability to read blueprints and building plansAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularlyAbility to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers in EnglishPossess and maintain an active valid Driver's License without restrictions.Active Top-Secret ClearanceMust be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug ply with company drug and alcohol policy.Must be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.Preferred QualificationsCertification in Hirsch / Identiv, Lenel, Bosch Video Management System, Honeywell Vindicator, or other ESS (Electronic Security Systems)Experience with Video Management Systems (, Milestone, AXIS)Ability to program devicesExperience working on federal, military, or government contractsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30CompensationExpected Hourly Rate: $35 - $48Versar Global Solutions is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
