Odyssey Systems is seeking a highly experienced System Interoperability Engineer SME to provide senior-level interoperability, enterprise architecture, and identity management support to DoD programs located at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. This role involves leading the architecture, integration, and operation of centrally managed shared services that enable interoperability across Platform One products and mission environments.The position has primary responsibility for enterprise identity and access management, including leading the transition from the current Keycloak-based identity solution to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) ICAM solution based on Okta. The role also oversees cloud-based network transport, zero trust architecture, and enterprise security services to ensure secure, seamless integration across enterprise systems.The System Interoperability Engineer Principal serves as a trusted technical advisor to Government leadership, ensuring enterprise services are secure, scalable, interoperable, and aligned with Department-wide identity, cybersecurity, and zero trust strategies.This is a full time position located at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX.Duties include, but not limited to:In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.Enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM)Serve as the technical authority for enterprise identity and access management across Platform OneLead the design, integration, and migration from Keycloak to the DAF ICAM (Okta-based) identity solutionEnsure identity services support federated access, RBAC, ABAC, and mission partner integrationAdvise on identity architecture decisions impacting platform security, usability, and interoperabilityEnsure identity implementations align with DoD, DAF, and zero trust identity requirementsZero Trust Architecture & NetworkingArchitect and oversee cloud-based network transport connecting Platform One resources across environmentsApply zero trust principles to identity, networking, and access control decisionsEnsure secure service-to-service communication and enforcement of least-privilege accessCollaborate with security and network teams to evolve enterprise zero trust postureShared Enterprise Services OwnershipProvide technical oversight for centrally managed enterprise services, including:Identity platforms (Keycloak, Okta / DAF ICAM)Cloud and enclave network connectivityPalo Alto firewall infrastructureElastic- and Grafana-based SIEM and observability servicesEnterprise help desk and user support servicesEnsure shared services are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with mission needsSecurity Operations & ComplianceEnsure enterprise services operate in accordance with approved ATO conditionsSupport audits, assessments, and cybersecurity reviewsEvaluate proposed changes for security impact, operational risk, and compliance alignmentGovernment Advisory & Product SupportAct as a senior technical advisor to the Enterprise Services Product ManagerProvide recommendations on roadmap decisions, architectural tradeoffs, and integration strategiesTranslate enterprise requirements into technical architectures and implementation plansEnterprise Integration & CoordinationCoordinate with Platform One product teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise servicesPartner with security, networking, and operations stakeholders across the DoD ecosystemCommunicate complex identity and security concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesCitizenship: Must be a US citizenMinimum Required QualificationsClearance: Secret (with ability to obtain TS/SCI)Education:Bachelor's or Master's DegreeYears of experience:10+ years of experience five of which must be in the DoDPreferred QualificationsExperience with DAF ICAM and Okta-based identity solutionsExperience with Platform One or similar enterprise DoD cloud environmentsDeep understanding of zero trust architecture implementationTechnical ExpertiseEnterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM)Keycloak and Okta / ICAM architecturesZero Trust ArchitectureCloud-based networking and transportPalo Alto firewallsSIEM and observability tools (Elastic, Grafana)ATO processes and cybersecurity complianceAdditional InformationLocation:Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TXTravel:Travel may be required per the customer's discretionOnsite#LI-RB1Odyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
