CNC Mill Operator - 1st shift Job Description The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills for large part machining operations. This role involves machining large steel components for construction equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings, and ensuring precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Responsibilities + Set up and operate CNC mills for large part machining operations. + Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. + Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed to move components and materials. + Measure parts per blueprint specifications using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Utilize shop math for accurate machining. + Perform tool changes and machine changeovers efficiently. + Read G&M codes and make program edits at the machine as required. + Comply with workplace safety practices at all times. Essential Skills + 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills in a job shop environment. + Proficient in inspecting own parts using micrometers, calipers, and dial bore gauges. + Experience reading G&M codes and performing edits. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. + High School Diploma or GED required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes. + Experience in a large part machining environment. + Ownership of machining tools and tool box.
