Join our team, we are growing We are looking for an experienced optician who will thrive in a busy private practice optometry office. Our patients expect knowledge of frames, lens materials and other lens options; as well as efficient, friendly service, with attention to detail.Job responsibilities and duties:- Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts- Operate manual lensometer and other equipment to achieve proper fitting for patients- Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences- Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames- Communicate with physician any questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues- Make dispense calls to patients to pick up contacts/glasses- Understand insurances to successfully order eyewear for patientsu00a0Qualifications and skills:- Experience with both contact lenses and glasses is beneficial but not required- Ability to operate manual lensometer and other equipment is beneficial but not required- Ability to work quickly and independently- Excellent customer service and sales skills required- Reliable, dependable, and loyal- Sense of style and fashion is helpfulPay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hourSchedule:- Coverage week days and Saturday at Columbus and Buckeye Lake Office
