Job Description

The Business Center Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Business Center to include daily oversight of all accounting processes, membership, campaign and program, and childcare transactions.For information on Y Employee Perks, click on this link:Employee Benefits | YMCA of San Diego County (ymcasd.org)ScheduleLocation: Dan McKinney Family YMCAMonday - Friday: 7:30 am - 4 pmRecruit and provide training for new and existing staff and allocate responsibilities and office spaceHandle and resolve member and participant complaintsMonitor and assign/reassign duties amongst staff as needed. Manage schedules and deadlinesResponsible for timecard corrections on all assigned Business Center staffPro-actively manage staff reviews, certifications and trainingsMonitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new items with attention to budgetary constraintsWeekly audits of branch membership accounts, childcare accounts and EOD processesMeet with the childcare/program directors as assigned by the Business Center Director to ensure the programs are full supported and we are meeting the member/participants needsEnsure proper department communication so members, staff and participants are provided accurate informationEnsure effective management of the teams and feedback accounts and work with IT and marketing to provide accurate forms and communication documents on helpdeskProven experience as administration supervisorGreat communicatorSuperb organization skillsA team player with leadership skillsMust be able to work effectively with a wide variety of people in an environment of rapidly changing deadlinesThis position requires the ability to sit, stand and input data on a computer for extended periods of timeOther duties as assignedIn-depth understanding of office management and proceduresExperience supervising and developing a staff teamExcellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)Able to communicate effectively, clearly and positively, verbally in writingLicensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and includesubsequentarrest notificationsCPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:American Red CrossAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Safety & Health InstituteYMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
