This position is part-time, 20 hours a week.As a Licensed Master Social Worker at RCPC, you will be responsible for:u2022 Facilitating engaging and dynamic evidenced-based groups with adolescents focused on coping strategies, substance abuse, body image and self-esteem, and healthy relationships.u2022 Completing assessments for adolescents and assisting with patient surveys.u2022 Providing crisis interventions as needed.u2022 Providing coverage for other social worker groups as needed.u2022 Assisting with discharge planning and complete discharge follow-up including outreach to outpatient and residential programs.u2022 Supervising family visits as needed.u2022 Completing all required documentation in patientu2019s file.About RCPC: RCPC is a psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents ages 11 u2013 18 from the Hudson Valley Region. Located in Orangeburg, NY, RCPC provides an intensive, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption. In addition to RCPCu2019s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services, including school-based intensive day treatment programs, and clinics. RCPC focuses on providing services that are tailored to the individual needs of the child and their family. Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement u2013 Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).OR Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
