Great Professional Opportunity for an Experienced Project Manager/Proposal Manager Job Tile: Project Management-- Proposal Manager + Location: Oakwood Village Ohio + Hours: Monday u2013 Friday 8am - -5pm + Wages based on experience $42.00 - $ 47.00 per hour + Duration: Temp to hire potential. + Education: Bacheloru2019s degree Summarized Purpose: The Government and Public Health Services department provide clinical research services to Government and Public Health Services and government-funded-commercial sponsors. At the direction of the business development lead, strategic strategy lead, and with cross functional contributors, the Proposal Manager actively manages the capture planning, preparation, and development of complex, compelling government and government-funded commercial proposals and content focused on client solutions that are aligned with operational strategy and technical approach. Primarily responsible for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and supplemental documents for single, multiple, or full-service clinical development programs or protocols and moderate to complex Requests for Information (RFIs). Ensures all documents align appropriately with the operational strategy and budget, are completed within appropriate timelines and quality standards. May act as a back-up strategic strategy lead on assigned government and government-funded commercial opportunities. Essential Functions and Other Job Information: Essential Functions u2022 Serves as central point of contact on assigned proposals and leads multi-discipline or cross-functional proposal team(s). u2022 Analyzes assigned RFPs and develops internal response plans and schedules for meeting client proposal/quotation requirements. u2022 Plans and manages all proposal activities during proposal planning, preparation, submission, and post-submittal phases for technical proposals in response to direct-to-government and government-funded-commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought Notifications (SSNs), responses to questions, or other client request according to established deadlines, guidelines, and standards. u2022 Research, writes, and edits proposals, as necessary. u2022 Develops other proposal documentation associated with proposal development as necessary (e.g., timelines, organizational structures, etc.). u2022 Coordinates the activities of internal and external team members. u2022 Provides proposal team leadership to include establishing schedule and conducting status reviews. u2022 Responsible for providing post-submission support including oral presentations, Best and Final Offer requests, agency clarification requests, and contract negotiations. u2022 Works effectively with senior and/or executive leadership as contributors and/or reviewers, or as otherwise necessary. Qualifications: Education and Experience: u2022 Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification u2022 Previous government proposal experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3-5 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: u2022 Excellent project management skills and financial acumen as related to business and operational strategy u2022 Expertise in the company's differentiated solutions offerings; ability to work across therapeutic areas u2022 Strong ability to manage multiple activities and priorities, with effective judgment and decision-making skills u2022 Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with strong editing skills u2022 Adept at translating technical and scientific information into client-friendly proposals u2022 Critical and strategic thinking skills u2022 Excellent interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills and problem-solving ability, with ability to interact and build relationships with individuals at all levels u2022 Knowledge of clinical development process, including functional operations and regulatory guidelines and directives across full spectrum of development activities u2022 Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite Management Role: No management responsibility Working Conditions and Environment: u2022 Exposure to high pressure, intense concentration needed u2022 Must pay constant attention to detail-visual, mental u2022 Must be able to multitask constantly u2022 Frequent interaction with internal/external clients / associates required u2022 Long, varied hours required occasionally Physical Requirements: u2022 Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day. u2022 Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. u2022 Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. u2022 Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. u2022 Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups. u2022 Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration. u2022 Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
