As a Software Engineer Sr. within PNC's Technology organization, you will be part of the HR Core Apps and Payroll team and will report into a Software Engineering Manager Sr. You can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Cleveland OH, Dallas TX or Phoenix AZ. Weu2019re seeking a Systems Reliability & Support Specialist Sr. to own and evolve Workday integrations and related HR/Payroll applications. Youu2019ll lead ETL workflows, mainframe JCL jobs, file transmissions, and monitoring across a complex, business critical ecosystem. This role combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration with vendors and internal technology partners. How This Role Fits In The HR Core Apps & Payroll team supports Workday and other vendor applications that underpin our HR and payroll operations. Youu2019ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of all changes and upgrades to our Core HR system, as well as supporting systems and vendor applications. What Youu2019ll Do u2022 Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering standards. u2022 Act as Application Technical Lead: Must demonstrate ownership of governance and controls for assigned applications; this includes timely certificate renewals, remediation of vulnerabilities, and responding to internal and external audits. u2022 Monitoring & Reliability: Use tools like Dynatrace and BigPanda to detect anomalies, reduce MTTR, and drive incident prevention through observability and automation. u2022 Access & Security: Partner with PNC Enterprise security and access management teams to ensure data security and privacy controls for all assigned applications. u2022 SDLC & Agile Delivery: Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban), manage work in Jira, and coordinate incident/change management in ServiceNow. u2022 Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with technology teams, vendors, and business partners to prioritize, plan, and deliver quality fixes to production issues. u2022 On-Call Rotation: Must be willing to participate in on call rotation. u2022 Participate in Testing: May be pulled in to assist with testing efforts on larger scale projects (e.g. Year End processing, Mergers and Acquisitions, etc.). Qualifications (Must-Haves) u2022 Experience: 3u20135+ years (preferred) in supporting vendor hosted applications preferred u2022 Process & Tools: Jira, Agile methodologies; strong documentation and communication skills. Mainframe (CA7 or other scheduling tools, Workday or other HRMS systems, Oracle Identity Manager, Monitoring tools, ServiceNow or other ticketing software, u2022 Communication & Documentation: Must be able to communicate across technical and non-technical channels u2013 both spoken and in writing. u2022 Adaptability: Ideal candidate will keep pace with changing technology standards. Nice-to-Haves u2022 Workday: Experience troubleshooting Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors) and business end-to-end processes. u2022 ETL: General knowledge of ETL issues and maintenance. u2022 Mainframe & JCL: Practical experience troubleshooting JCL jobs and mainframe batch processing. u2022 Experience working with HR business partners as customers. Conducts root cause analysis and correction resulting in prevention. + Monitors systems availability, performance, and capacity against baseline metrics and reports trends. Reports out information to support stabilization. + Develops in depth knowledge of supported systems and applications and transfers knowledge to more junior staff. + Leads application governance, such as required attestations, continuity testing, impact analysis, responding to audit/regulatory inquiries and complying with technology standards. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
