Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Duluth, Georgia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and integrity of the organization while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and completeness. u2022 Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure consistency. u2022 Enter invoice details into the accounting system promptly and with precision. u2022 Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Prepare payment batches for approval and ensure timely processing of payments. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Generate accounts payable reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls during payment cycles. u2022 Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices, payments, or vendor accounts. u2022 Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for invoices and payment records. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role. + Ideal candidate would have worked with a Shared Services System and ticketed method u2022 Proficiency in accounting software, including SAP, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. u2022 Ability to process vendor invoices, post payments, and manage full-cycle accounts payable. u2022 Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions. u2022 Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and internal controls. u2022 Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and payment issues. u2022 Familiarity with data entry, invoice processing, and payment reconciliation procedures.
