Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent role. This role supports a broad range of accounting operations, including reconciliations, reporting, audit preparation, banking activity, and fund-related transactions across multiple business areas. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and a proven ability to manage detailed financial data accurately in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee accounting activities including reconciliations and reporting. u2022 Review and validate monthly close reports, support internal audit inquiries, and prepare year-end schedules. u2022 Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support schedules. u2022 Support banking operations by approving electronic payments, assisting with wire and ACH activity, communicating with banking contacts. u2022 Track fixed asset activity, update supporting schedules, post depreciation, and reconcile asset and accumulated depreciation balances on a recurring basis. u2022 Assist with special projects, complex reconciliations, and troubleshooting issues affecting financial reports and management reporting outputs. Requirements u2022 3+ years of accounting experience in a senior-level or progressive accounting role. u2022 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage and analyze large datasets. u2022 Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations. u2022 Background in bank reconciliations, ACH or wire activity, and other cash management. u2022 Experience preparing audit support, year-end reporting, and monthly financial reporting packages. u2022 Knowledge of fixed assets, prepaid expense accounting, and investment-related entries. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable processes and payroll tax deposits. u2022 Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
