And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placementsPrepare patients pre-procedure and monitor them post-procedure for complicationsAssist physicians and the interdisciplinary team during proceduresAdminister medications and moderate sedation per hospital protocolsMonitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic statusMaintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all timesEducate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructionsAccurately document patient care in the electronic medical recordParticipate in on-call rotation as requiredEducation:Graduate of accredited nursing program. Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hireExperience:One (1) year of experience in a critical care settingCertification/License:Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in IowaMust possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hireMust possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within one (1) year from date of hire
