Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality. Responsibilities + Interpret assembly and elevation drawings. + Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies. + Read tape measure accurately. + Use manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. + Operate power tools including drills, impact wrenches, and pneumatic torque wrenches. Essential Skills + At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment. + Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics. + Ability to use shop equipment and hand tools. + Perform basic math functions including fractions and decimals. + Fluency in English to read, write, and converse effectively. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
