Travel Cable Technician - Camera

Description- this is not a local role We are seeking experienced Traveling Cable / Lowu2011Voltage Technicians to support a largeu2011scale retail security camera rollout. This role involves nationwide travel to customer stores, working as part of a team to install, cable, test, and validate IP camera systems according to strict installation and fieldu2011ofu2011view (FOV) requirements. Technicians will be responsible for complete endu2011tou2011end installation activities, including structured cabling, hardware mounting, camera configuration support, validation, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Install Axis IP security cameras per approved scope (approximately 35u201338 cameras per site) Perform structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6) from cameras to IDFs Terminate, label, and organize cabling in IDFs and camera locations Test and certify cabling using industryu2011standard testing equipment (Fluke preferred) Mount camera hardware using appropriate solutions including: Unistrut Conduit Surface and ceiling mounts Verify network connectivity to required IDFs Support camera configuration verification and firmware checks (in coordination with Help Desk) Assist with Fieldu2011ofu2011View (FOV) validation to ensure cameras align with shot guide requirements Make physical camera adjustments as requested by the client AP team Return to sites as needed for followu2011up adjustments or corrections Capture and upload required deliverables: Camera images Test results Validation documentation Upload documentation into ServiceNow Follow all site safety, PPE, and customer requirements Work effectively in teams of four on overnight shifts (typically four nights per store) Skills ip cameras, Cat5, Cat6, idfs, Install, Cabling, cctv systems, Punchdown, Low voltage, Cable installation, cctv, Structured cabling, Installation Top Skills Details ip cameras,Cat5,Cat6,idfs,Install,Cabling,cctv systems Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Skills & Experience 2+ years experience in lowu2011voltage or structured cabling environments Strong handsu2011on experience with: CAT5e/CAT6 cabling Termination and testing Retail or commercial environments Familiarity with IP security camera installations (Axis experience preferred) Ability to read and follow installation scopes, shot guides, and diagrams Comfortable working in IDFs and ladder/lift environments Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended periods Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain productivity Preferred Qualifications Axis camera installation experience Fluke certification or strong testing Conduit bending or light electrical/EMT experience Previous bigu2011box retail rollout experience (Loweu2019s, Walmart, etc.) Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/documentation systems Must Pass a bgc and drug test u00b7 Travel:
