We are looking for a passionate Construction Engineer in southern Wisconsin who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. Youu2019ll provide construction engineering and inspection services on highway, roadway, bridge and other various infrastructure projects across southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. As part of our project team, the responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to:u2022 Being the Task Lead and/or Inspector on WisDOT projectsu2022 Documenting contractor progress and quantities completedu2022 Performing daily inspections to verify that the Contractor work is being completed in accordance with the contract documentsu2022 Preparing daily construction reports that identify the contractor workforce, equipment, and activities, site visitors, and includes daily progress photosu2022 Reviewing contract plans, specifications, submittals and material informationu2022 Reporting and documenting any field conditions that deviate from the Contractu2022 Utilizing contract documents to perform general monitoring and documentation of construction this role you'll be part of a project team based in the Milwaukee or Madison areas, surrounded by expert mentorship to help you thrive and opportunities to grow in your career. You'll communicate with members of the Jacobs team, client, and contractor and work together to mitigate or eliminate project risks. Youu2019ll be accountable for interacting with our construction sites, clients, and management to support the project team. Working together, weu2019ll help you design your career and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local.#LI-LM1236 u2022 At least 8 years of experience in roadway/highway, bridge, or general civil construction projectsu2022 Previous experience on WisDOT construction projectsu2022 Ability to drive to/from project locations in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinoisu2022 Working knowledge of construction engineering and document controlu2022 Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlooku2022 Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skillsu2022 Local to Milwaukee or Madison, WI - preferably MilwaukeeIdeally, youu2019ll also have:u2022 WisDOT HTCP Certifications for Portland Cement Concrete Technician and Nuclear Density Technicianu2022 OSHA 10- or 30- hour trainingu2022 Working knowledge of Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil3D and/or AutoCADJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
