Medical Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Medical Billing Clerk in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves the critical task of handling medical billing operations in a healthcare setting, including reviewing contracts, managing billing procedures, reconciling accounts, and assisting in collections. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing in AHCCCS and CalAim (open to training on CalAim). Responsibilities: u2022 Review and interpret medical contracts to ensure accurate billing. u2022 Execute billing procedures, ensuring all bills are sent out timely and accurately. u2022 Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments are accurate and complete. u2022 Assist in collections, contacting patients or insurance companies for overdue payments. u2022 Utilize various accounting software systems to manage billing functions. u2022 Operate Microsoft Excel to maintain records and process transactions. u2022 Administer claim administration tasks to ensure all claims are processed correctly. u2022 Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries and issues. u2022 Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. u2022 Perform accounting functions as required to maintain accurate financial records. Requirements u2022 Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Billing Clerk role or similar. u2022 Familiarity with Billing Functions is a prerequisite. u2022 Ability to handle Claim Administration tasks effectively. u2022 Knowledge of Collection Processes is necessary. u2022 Must have strong Customer Service skills. u2022 A high school diploma or equivalent is required. u2022 Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
