Duties andResponsibilties of Job: About the Position We are seeking a SeniorProcess Design Engineer to join our growing Process team. The idealcandidate possesses over 10+ years of Industrial Process design relatedexperience. The ideal candidate would have extensive industrialexperience in chemical, bio-chemical, pharma, or process designengineering. This role will be responsible for leading processengineering assignments in a multi-disciplinary environment across awide range of process industry projects. The successful candidate wouldalso interface with clients and support proposal development. Thisposition could be located anywhere in the continental United States. AllPond & Company positions require participation in at least one in-personinterview as part of our hiring process, and most roles also requirein-person onboarding at a Pond office location; candidates for remoteroles should expect to meet directly with our team and should becautious of any communication suggesting otherwise. Knowledge andExperience: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, orMechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 10years' experience in chemical, bio-chemical, pharma, or mechanicalprocess design engineering. Advanced experience in engineering designprinciples and applicable guides, codes and standards are required. Experience in developing scope of work, estimate and scheduleprofessional man-hour for projects. Full understanding of processdesign and managing process engineering work. Ability to lead a smallteam on a project and deliver presentations to clients. Ability togenerate complete process engineering documents and review vendordrawings and specifications. Ability to size and generatespecifications of equipment. Familiarity with specification andinstallation of equipment, piping and instruments. Ability to mentorand train Junior engineers. Experienced in process simulation (i.e.,ASPEN Plus, HYSYS, CHEMCAD, Promax, PRO II) Experienced in Hydraulicsoftware ( i.e. AFT Fathom, Arrow, PIPE-FLO) Experienced in draftingsoftware (i.e., AutoCAD, MicroStation) Proficient in the use ofMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent written andverbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoftword, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.) Responsibilities: Generallyresponsible for leading process engineering assignments inmulti-disciplinary environment. Work will be performed under generalsupervision. Total delivery of the process engineering deliverableson time and within budget with accuracy and quality meeting clients'expectations. Knowledgeable in process design and process safety. Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams,equipment specification, equipment datasheets and cost studies. Supportdevelopment of layouts. Review and approve process deliverables. Create project scope and design criteria for project as well as estimateproject basis for process. Create a project specific design basis,incorporate client requirements, and ensure local, state, and federalstandards and codes are met. Ensure permitting requirements areestablished and communicated with client and project team. Identifyand inform project scope changes to project manager. Provide support onproject change notices by estimating time, cost and developingadditional scope change. Plan and execute work for project team forvarious size projects. Manage various size projects by tracking andmaintaining quality standards, budget, and schedule. Delegate work toother engineers and designers based on their skill level.
