This position will help support the implementation, configuration, optimization, and long-term success of critical ERP systems that serve core citywide functions such as finance, human resources, payroll, budgeting, reporting, and business operations. The ERP Systems Analyst II partners closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to translate operational needs into reliable system solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, support testing and upgrades, develop reports, maintain documentation, and ensure enterprise applications continue to meet the evolving needs of the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise application support experience, technical problem-solving skills, customer-focused service, and hands-on ERP configuration or implementation experience, preferably in a government or public-sector environment. This position is hybrid eligible and requires residency in the Boise metro area. Candidates must currently live in the area or be prepared to relocate at their own expense prior to employment. No relocation assistance is provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Essential Functions Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Is capable of performing all duties and provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group, as needed. Configures and supports Information Technology (IT) systems that meet the identified business requirements and collaborates with development teams to ensure the systems are implemented correctly. Performs testing of IT systems and applies software patches and updates or other modifications necessary to meet service level agreements. Identifies and troubleshoots technical issues and develops and implements solutions, escalating as appropriate. Implements enhancements using system-specific tools, scripting and entry-level programming. Creates and maintains technical documentation. Maintains a thorough understanding of supported system capability and business use. Collaborates with business owners to identify and document relevant business processes and requirements. Identifies enhancements needed in existing applications or processes to meet user requirements. Assists in feasibility studies for software systems and makes recommendations regarding product selection. Assesses business needs and plans and collaborates closely with internal IT teams and vendors. Writes reports and analyzes data to facilitate business inquiries. Serves as a liaison and facilitator between vendor and business units to resolve issues. Manages, designs and develops reports with an application-wide view to maximize reusability. Develops SQL queries to analyze relational data to facilitate business inquiries and support quality system data. Meets with business customers to ensure enterprise solutions are meeting business objectives. Provides assistance and advice to business users in effectively using applications and information technology. Assists in evaluating, installing, configuring and deploying new software systems and/or enhancements to existing systems. Serves as a liaison and facilitator between business units to assist in addressing and resolving issues. Provides training and support to users of IT systems. Stays current on technologies of IT systems analysis and development. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training Bacheloru2019s degree in information technology or a closely related field, five years of experience in information systems supporting enterprise applications and three years of experience configuring and customizing enterprise applications. Knowledge of: + Enterprise applications and technically fluent using scripting languages + Querying relational data and report writing + Debugging and supporting complex client/server environments + Business analysis and project management + Vendor and contractor management + Principals and concepts of information systems + Computer usage including related software. Ability to: + Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff + Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance + Perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training Seven years of experience configuring and customizing information systems and supporting enterprise-level systems. + Hands-on experience working with ERP finance systems, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, budgeting, and financial reporting. + Hands-on experience with ERP HR modules such as payroll, benefits administration, talent management, time and attendance, and employee records. Experience with PowerBI, Crystal Reports, HTML5 and ASP.net, Certified Systems Analyst Professional (CSAP) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from IIBA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Data Management and Analytics and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from the International Information System Security Certification.
