JOB SUMMARY: The IT Specialist is responsible foru00a0hardware/software deployment, troubleshooting,u00a0management of variousu00a0IT systems,u00a0security tools, andu00a0overseeing AV equipment in conference rooms. The IT Specialist works closely with the Network & Systems Administrator tou00a0maintainu00a0reliable, secure IT operations while continuing to deliver hands-on end-user support.u00a0Additionally, the IT Specialist actively contributes to asset management, software tracking, managing IT/Enterpriseu00a0cloud applications, and the development and upkeep of IT documentation. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL DUTIES): + Technical Supportu00a0 + Diagnose and resolveu00a0hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral problems across the organization. + Install, configure, andu00a0maintainu00a0laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. + Deploy and update operating systems, software applications, and patches. + Serve as the primary point of contact for all audio/visualu00a0setupsu00a0&u00a0support. + Assistu00a0withu00a0initialu00a0server installations, deployments, and virtualization.u00a0u00a0 + Network & Infrastructure Supportu00a0 + Assistu00a0withu00a0maintainingu00a0LAN, WAN,u00a0and WLANu00a0infrastructure. + Help implement network security measures and support compliance with IT security policies. + Deploy,u00a0monitor,u00a0and manage MDM, RMM, endpoint security, and other IT service management platforms. + Support the Microsoft 365 environment, Azure, and other cloud platforms and collaboration tools. + User Management,u00a0Training, & Documentationu00a0 + Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and network access levels. + Support IT aspects of new hire onboardingu00a0&u00a0employee offboarding procedures.u00a0 + Provide clear guidance and training to end-users; develop andu00a0maintainu00a0user guides, tutorials, and SharePoint knowledge base content.u00a0 + Overseeu00a0the organizationu2019s Security Awareness Training Program.u00a0 + Create andu00a0maintainu00a0comprehensive documentation ofu00a0standard operatingu00a0proceduresu00a0andu00a0user guides on the SharePoint portal. u00a0 + Record and track all help desk tickets, ensuringu00a0timelyu00a0resolution and detailed documentation.u00a0 + Assistu00a0in developing and updating IT policies and network diagrams.u00a0 + Support compliance efforts with industry standards and internal IT policies.u00a0 + Asset & License Managementu00a0 + Maintainu00a0accurateu00a0inventory records of hardware and software assets.u00a0 + Track software licenses to ensure compliance andu00a0optimizeu00a0usage. u00a0 + Coordinate regular audits of IT assets;u00a0participateu00a0in procurement and disposal activities. + Make hardware and software acquisition recommendations, including needs assessments and justifications.u00a0 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT operations, help desk support, or a related technical role.u00a0 + Solid working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments.u00a0 + Familiarity with networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, Active Directory, TCP/IP, VPN, and DNS.u00a0 + Experience with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and endpoint security tools.u00a0 + Exposure tou00a0server hardware, virtualization, and backup/recovery platforms.u00a0 + Proficiencyu00a0in Microsoft Office Suite and common IT management tools.u00a0 + Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI-driven IT tools is a plus.u00a0 + Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.u00a0 + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service.u00a0 + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.u00a0 Required Education Credentials (Minimum of 1 of more):u00a0 u00a0 + Bacheloru2019s Degree in an IT fieldu00a0 + A+u00a0 + CCNAu00a0 + Network +u00a0 + Security +u00a0 + ITILu00a0 u00a0ADDITIONAL INFORMATION u00a0u00a0 This position is based in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two telework days. COMPENSATION PACKAGE: The salary range for this role is starting at $68,000-$70,000u00a0per year on a national basis. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, relevant work experience, skillset, internal equity, location, and certifications, consistent with applicable law.
