About the Role AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to join the World Wide Public Sector Nonprofits practice. You'll serve as the technical lead for a portfolio of nonprofit research organizations, helping them design and implement cloud architectures that advance science at scale. This role sits within a sales and business development team u2014 your technical expertise will directly inform planning and strategy. You'll need both the consultative and leadership skills to launch projects on a trajectory to success, and the ability to help diverse groups understand application architectures and integration approaches. Basic Qualifications- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience - 3+ years of experience in healthcare and life sciences, encompassing one or more of the following areas: clinical research, biomedical research, genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.Preferred Qualifications- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Experience working with end user or developer communities - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud - Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals - 5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry experience - A degree in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology or similar degree field is required. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
