Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.Responsibilities:- Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:- Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff- Interviewing patients- Obtaining vital signs- Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments- Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture- Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency- Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers- Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:- Sending and receiving of patient medical records- Facilitating patient referrals- Preparing forms for patientsRequirements:- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred- Current BLS certification- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred- Current BLS certificationAbout Mary Bridge Children'sFor more than 70 years, MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network has cared for children and families across the South Sound.
