By covering nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions, you will support exceptional patient health this role you will hone your clerical and communication skills, develop age-appropriate nursing care expertise, and collaborate to support patient care and services.Responsibilities- You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital- You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions- Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups- Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality careRequirements- High school graduate or equivalent preferred- Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven (7) days of hire)- Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty (60) days of hire- Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure- Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible- MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R- Current BLS Certification- Recent bed side care experience in a health care environment- High school graduate or equivalent preferred- Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven (7) days of hire)- Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty (60) days of hire- Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure- Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible- MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R- Current BLS Certification- Recent bed side care experience in a health care environmentAbout Tacoma General HospitalMultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, in the heart of Tacoma, WA, is a 367-bed regional medical center delivering cutting-edge care.
