Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems in support of mission-critical programs for the Fort Meade Customer. This role involves working with processing-intensive analytics, large-scale data systems, and real-time applications. The engineer will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, supporting system design, implementation, and performance optimization while collaborating within a team environment.Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirementsDesign and implement frontend solutions with a focus on Angular-based applicationsAnalyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance specificationsReview and test software components to ensure adherence to design requirements and document resultsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and problem reportsApply appropriate software development methodologies and best practicesContribute to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and technology selectionSupport software reuse and evaluate the use of COTS/GOTS solutionsPerform requirements analysis and decomposition from system-level to individual software componentsCollaborate effectively both independently and within a team environmentRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field12+ years of software engineering experienceStrong experience with Angular developmentExperience developing complex, data-intensive, or real-time applicationsFamiliarity with software development lifecycle methodologies and best practicesExperience with system design, requirements analysis, and software testingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUSD $225,000.00 - USD $240,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
