Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Job Description The Quality Control Inspector ensures that automotive products meet defined quality and industry standards by performing detailed inspections, identifying flaws and defects, and accurately completing all required quality documentation. This role supports consistent, high-quality production within an automotive manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Perform thorough quality control inspections on automotive parts and products to identify flaws, defects, and nonconformities. + Verify that production output meets established industry and internal quality standards. + Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to take precise measurements and confirm product specifications. + Interpret and work from blueprints to understand product requirements and inspection criteria. + Complete all quality control paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. + Report inspection findings clearly and communicate quality issues to the appropriate team members. + Support quality assurance processes by following established inspection procedures and guidelines. + Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and suggesting potential corrective actions. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry in any capacity. + Hands-on experience with quality control inspection activities. + Ability to identify flaws and defects in automotive parts and products. + Proficiency using calipers for precise measurement. + Proficiency using micrometers for detailed dimensional checks. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Knowledge of quality assurance and quality inspection principles. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation. + Ability to complete quality control paperwork and documentation thoroughly and correctly. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment. + Familiarity with industry quality standards and inspection procedures. + Solid understanding of basic measurement and inspection tools beyond calipers and micrometers. + Ability to follow standardized work instructions and quality protocols. + Strong communication skills to relay inspection results and quality concerns. Work Environment This position is based in an automotive manufacturing environment, working around production equipment and machinery. The role involves hands-on inspection of parts on or near the production floor, frequent use of precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, and regular reference to blueprints and quality documentation. Expect a structured setting focused on safety, quality, and adherence to established processes and standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SOUTH EL MONTE, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
