Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations and provide reliable financial insight for business decision-making in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This position oversees the accuracy of reporting, strengthens department processes, and supports leadership with forward-looking financial guidance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge along with the ability to improve workflows and guide team performance. Responsibilities: u2022 Direct daily accounting activities and refine departmental procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. u2022 Prepare, review, and interpret financial reports to ensure leadership has clear visibility into organizational performance. u2022 Advise company leaders on financial trends, risks, and planning considerations that support sound business decisions. u2022 Supervise accounting staff, provide performance feedback, and help develop a productive and accountable team environment. u2022 Build forecasts and planning models to anticipate upcoming financial requirements and operational needs. u2022 Monitor revenue and expenses closely to maintain accurate records and support budget oversight. u2022 Lead month-end closing activities, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy. u2022 Identify opportunities to automate recurring accounting tasks in order to streamline processes and reduce manual effort. u2022 Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and coordinating financial statement audit activities.
