Requisition ID: 180571 Job Level: Senior Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Building Group Department: Project Engineering Market: Building Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee and support multiple building projects from planning through execution. This role requires a strong understanding of subcontractor management, and field operations, as well as experience with review of contract plans and specifications, project scheduling, cost forecasting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a few construction projects under their belt performing subcontractor oversight for building projects, proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring compliance at the site, and driving operational excellence with the team. Responsibilities u2022 Perform Contract Compliance, quality control & Field Oversight of subcontractors on the project u2022 Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications. u2022 Inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies, and potential cost-saving measures. u2022 Take corrective actions as needed to resolve field issues. u2022 Review subordinatesu2019 work for compliance with contract documents; address deficiencies and implement corrective measures. u2022 Project Scheduling & Coordination u2022 Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software. u2022 Collaborate with project management personnel to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy. u2022 Document Control & Change Management, handle project closeout. u2022 Manage document control processes including logging and tracking new issue drawings and contract documents. u2022 Review new issue drawings for changes in conditions; quantify impacts and communicate with supervisor. u2022 Distribute updated documents to field teams and ensure proper implementation. u2022 Cost Forecasting & Financial Planning u2022 Prepare monthly cost projections using data from project management systems. u2022 Develop quarterly cash flow projections to support financial planning. u2022 Operational Improvement & Leadership u2022 Recommend improvements to project operations including staffing, methods, and procedures. u2022 Serve as managing project engineer/coordinator across multiple projects. u2022 Provide supervision and on-the-job training for junior engineers and project staff. Qualifications u2022 Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent required. u2022 Minimum 5+ yearsu2019 work experience in construction or engineering, vertical construction is preferred. u2022 2+ years' experience managing engineers and project subcontractors u2022 Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents u2022 Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative u2022 Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time u2022 Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity u2022 Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt u2022 Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills u2022 Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives u2022 Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail u2022 Ability to travel and relocate as needed in the future #LI-TD28 Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
