Ogden Street Buffalo , NY 14210 Certified - Teaching - Librarian/School Media Spec {LIBR} Job Number 3300055446 Start Date Open Date 04/27/2026 Closing Date 06/30/2026 Librarian Teacher K-8 Provide an educational program for students in grades K-8 and assist in other school programs as assigned REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Teach students utilizing the course of study adopted by South Buffalo Charter School Board of Trustees + Instruct students in citizenship, basic communication skills and other general elements of the course of study specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school + Provide planned learning experiences in order to motivate students and effectively utilize the available time for instruction + Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide differentiated, individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student + Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, prepare progress reports and communicate with parents on the individual student's progress + Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude and learning problems + Perform basic attendance services as are required + Maintain professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by South Buffalo Charter School and/or self-selected professional growth activities + Create, with assistance from students, a functional and attractive environment for learning through displays, bulletin boards and interest centers + Establish and maintain, in cooperation with school administration, standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom + Participate in school-wide curriculum development + Assist other staff members in helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems + Perform other duties as assigned by Director or Director's designee EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Credential: NYS General Elementary or Standard Elementary Education: Bachelor's degree, including all courses needed to meet credential requirement Pay Range: $43430- $81367 annually Please submit your cover Letter and resume to: David Thomas - /.orgJustina Williams - HR Please make sure to complete an application by clickinghere (for this job posting.
