JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description: Under direction of Associate Director ofFacilities, the Technician III maintains and repairs all aspects ofbuilding infrastructure and equipment, ensuring optimal performance ofHVAC systems, plumbing systems, furniture, and other peripherals. Theyconduct comprehensive inspections to maintain peak efficiency ofbuilding systems and diagnose complex electrical and mechanicalproblems. The Technician III also performs carpentry and welding tasksfor repairs and remodeling projects, interprets blueprints, and preparesdetailed reports documenting issues and completed repairs to ensureeffective maintenance management. Starting wage is $27.46. Start dateis July 1, 2027; potential for an earlier start date based oncandidate's availability and District needs. Essential Functions: Maintain andrepair all building infrastructure and equipment, including HVAC systems(air conditioning, cooling chillers, boilers, air handling units),plumbing systems, furniture, lockers, and other peripherals. Performcarpentry and welding tasks for repairs and extensive remodelingprojects. Conduct comprehensive inspections and maintain peak efficiencyof all building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, andplumbing) to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshootcomplex electrical and mechanical problems within the building'svarious systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing). Complies with safety andenvironmental regulations and procedures including the handling ofchemicals, solvents, blood, body fluids and/or body tissues. Prepare andmaintain written reports documenting building, equipment issues, andrepairs completed. Interpret blueprints for various building systems todiagnose problems, plan repairs, and identify and specify parts andsupplies required for maintenance tasks. Licensure: A valid WisconsinDriver's License. Certificates, Certifications, or Other Training:CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, Lift Training Previous Work-RelatedExperience: 4-6 years work-related experience in HVAC systems,construction and building maintenance.
